Phil Flynn discusses what is driving oil. It is due to the USD, and it is due to supply and demand. Too bad this guy isn’t in Congress. The speculators are also watching other indicators to try and figure out if the bad economy will decrease the demand.

He also mentions that just talking about drilling offshore helped the recent drop in prices.

Congress Opens Self To Law Suit Over Oil Prices | I’m A Pundit Too

Let me start out by saying that this isn’t going to go over very well at all, but that never stopped me before. I have decided that it is indeed time to sue the US Congress over the high price of energy, and the bill they tried to pass earlier this year has opened them up to the suit. Now, it seems that if anyone were to be able to sue the government, it would be the oil companies who are being restricted. However, I discovered something recently. I discovered that I am the one paying 50 bucks a week to fill up my 4 cylinder Saturn. I also got an interesting email from Florida Power and Light.

How New And Fresh Is Obama?

The supporters of Senator Barack Obama continuously tout their candidate as a new type of candidate, a man that is positioned above the fray of the political process. A political genius filled with new and exciting ideas to "change" our country. Obama is indeed a new and fresh face in politics. He served 7 years in the Illinois state legislature before being elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004. He served just 2 years in the Senate before declaring his candidacy for the office of President. He has relied on his gifted oratory skills to deliver speeches that have inspired a cult-like following. It will come as no surprise that I do not share the same lofty opinion of the junior Senator from Illinois.

Reid Energy Tax Increase Bill – Increasing Taxes and Prices | I’m A Pundit Too

With energy prices reaching record highs, Congress continues its attempts to manipulate healthy market forces through additional tax increases. The Senate will vote tomorrow, June 10th, on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) "Consumer-First Energy Act of 2008." This bill is a violation of the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, signed by 41 current Senators.
